Коллега Серебряков на своем ЖЖ

разместил ссылку на дюже интересный сайт художника Немо Рамджета "Снаяда"

. Мужик уже несколько лет, как хобби, прорисовывает выдуманный мир, открытый и колонизированный в будущем землянами. Мир двухголовых монстриков.

Не могу не поделиться.

В ссылках этого сайта значится еще один, даже более детально прорпаботанный с астрономической и биологической точки зрения мир, разработанный голландцем Гертом Ван Дийком "Furaha"

В разделе "ССЫЛКИ" на сайте Немо Рамджета есть ссылки и на другие масштабные проекты, но эти два наиболее красочны и проработанны.

Не могу не поделиться. :sm12: Красота!

Indeed it is. I do not speak Russian, but noticed that I got visitors to my site regarding the planet Furaha coming from this site, so i looked it up. With some help from Google's translation services, I found this thread.

The story is simple: I came up with the planet Furaha and the star Alpha Phoenicis a long time ago, when it not yet easy to find detailed astronomical information. About a year ago I was ready to improve the astromical background of my creation, and asked someone (who happened to be doing a PhD on solar system formation) to help me. Alpha Phoenicis was not right, but Nu Phoenicis was much better. That's all there is to it.

At the time I had no idea that anyone else was also using Nu Phoenicis as the home for their creation. I do not think it really matters much anyway. In all the alternative histories, the sme countries keep on being used, so why shouldn't the same star serve as the home for different alternative 'histories' as well?

We are about to start the whole section in English, one of whose subsections is going to be dedicated to Alternate Astronomy where various projects of planet builders will be discussed. once such a subsection has been created you are welcome to post a thread devoted to Furaha there, so we may exchange thoughts on it and, maybe, you may find some useful advice in various fields of knowledge here. What you are doing is excellent but it's also an extensive project. Wish you good luck with it and if this offer is interesting to you, let us know. ;)

That sounds fine with me! I will check every now and then to see if the English section is up and runing yet. Should anyone wish to ask any questions, they can do so here (English is easiest (well... actually Dutch is), but German and French will also work)

We can divide it into subsections any moment now but what stops us is that firstly, we'll have to apply a template with English interface here. It'll take some time. I guess, the Admin will be able to tell us more when he comes.
